Mission Statement

The mission of the TobPRAC is to develop new methods of evaluating and testing new tobacco products that are perceived, designed and/or intended to reduce smokers' exposure to tobacco toxins when used by smokers. The TobPRAC will help other researchers realize optimal investigative methods, assess the potential for new products to reduce exposure in the laboratory and human clinical trials, and assist smokers and policy makers in understanding new design changes and the impact on smokers. The Consortium's goal is to provide a sound science base for the regulation of tobacco and tobacco harm reduction products.
