Lab Tech Tobacco Product Assessment Consortium (TobPRAC)

The TobPRAC mission is to develop new methods of evaluating and testing new tobacco products. These products are perceived, designed and/or intended to reduce smokers' exposure to tobacco toxins when smokers use them. The TobPRAC also will help other researchers:

  • Achieve the best possible investigative methods.

  • Assess the potential for new products to reduce exposure in the laboratory and human clinical trials.

  • Assist smokers and policy makers in understanding new design changes and the impact on smokers.

The Consortium's goal is to provide a sound science base for tobacco regulation tobacco harm reduction products.
